Learning to cook and eat healthy brings a world of advantages to our beloved seniors and adults with disabilities in our Adult Day Services program. In partnership with the Family Hub and Rush University, participants learned healthy recipes and gained a sense of autonomy, allowing them to prepare meals according to their personal tastes and dietary needs.
As we age, our nutritional needs may change, making healthy eating an essential component of maintaining overall well-being. Seniors, with their unique dietary considerations, can greatly benefit from adopting a nutrition-focused lifestyle. By prioritizing balanced meals and mindful choices, seniors can enjoy improved energy levels, better immune function, and enhanced overall health.
Special thanks to the volunteers from Rush University for facilitating this great new program!
