At just 9 years old, Tremyah Underwood turned her love for all things bold and sparkly into a thriving business—Rebel Style. Now 17, she continues to shine as a young entrepreneur! With a passion for self-expression, she built a brand that allows customers to create unique, customized designs, from personalized t-shirts to blinged-out accessories.
Her journey hasn’t been without challenges. As a young woman in business, she’s faced obstacles but never let them define her. She says “Being a woman has only made me push harder in my journey to succeed as a business owner. It has made me want to be an example for girls younger than me; anything can be done, no matter who or what tries to stop you.”
With the support of the Family Hub Small Business Development Series Tremyah gained access to funding, business education, and vendor opportunities, allowing her to grow Rebel Style. She learned that investing in herself is key to success: “I have to uplift and promote my business for anyone else to hear about what I do and sell.”
You can support Tremyah and see her work in person at the 2025 Spring Luncheon & Marketplace, where she’ll be a featured vendor. Get your tickets today and celebrate the power of women in business! Purchase your tickets here: https://www.chicagocommons.org/event/spring-luncheon-marketplace/
